This show has been going on for 87 years. It started as a way to raise money to buy gas lamps for the main street in town. The women made candy and they held a barn dance. Hence, the name Candydance. It has grown over the years to become one of the top ten fairs in the U.S. Right off of Hwy. 395 an hours south of Reno.
